About Me...

Hi! My name is Nikki, thank you for visiting my education portfolio! Here you will find a collection of artifacts and thoughts on inquiry, inclusion, engagement + motivation, relationships, assessment, planning and links + resources that guide my practice.

I recently completed my Bachelor of Education (2012) after graduating in 2009 from the Alberta College of Art + Design with a BFA. I have always been passionate about people, fascinated by their ideas and the many ways to express them: through art, science, math, literature, dance--the possibilities are infinite!

We live in a time of increasing change, and upcoming generations face unknown opportunities and challenges. Equipping youth with the abilities to reflect and respond to a diverse environment creatively will help them make the decisions that impart meaning to their lives and the world.

Alternative Animation Project (click title to view)

A collaboratively taught special project at Alternative High School in Calgary Alberta. This project runs as a workshop/studio based course focusing on the critical thinking, technology and skills involved with producing an animation.
